The Vision: A growing network of Jewish learning communities rooted in spiritual practice, building the clarity, courage, community, and connection needed to respond effectively to the crises of our time.

The Need

In moments like this, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed. Fight Like a Mensch offers another path. Rooted in Jewish ethical wisdom, this program supports those who feel the heartbreak of this moment and want to respond—not with despair, but with grounded action. It helps us face what’s happening with courage, clarity, and compassion, offering tools to metabolize fear, stay in relationship across difference, and act with integrity amidst rising injustice.

How It Works

Each session combines study, reflection, and
commitments to practice within a small group of 8-12 people.
Groups are facilitated by peers, with ongoing Kirva faculty support. The curriculum includes the below soul traits/middot:

  • Heartbreak and desire

  • Fear and moving from constriction to expansion

  • Humility, curiosity, and courage

  • Forbearance to build resilience

  • Taking action grounded in joy
