Support Our Work!

01.jpg

At The IOWA Project, we’re committed to creating space year-round for the type spiritual deepening needed to better show up in the fight for a more just world. Join The Inside Out Community of Practice, The IOWA Project network of activists, educators, and spiritual leaders exploring the integration of Jewish spiritual wisdom, practice and the work of social change. Practice is an essential deepening, and the foundation of our work.

What does it mean to be part of The Inside Out Community of Practice?

Anyone can be part of this community by making a donation to our efforts, participating in IOWA programming, and joining us in deepening the integration of spiritual practice within social justice work. We see practice as an essential tool for creating the change we want to see within ourselves and in the world. Our shared vision of this integration allows us to lead from a place that is more visionary, creative, sustainable, and grounded. We support one another in practice and in community.

By donating to our work, you're helping us sustain programming throughout the year, including:

  • The second Ovdim cohort, an 18-month intensive program for social justice leaders.

  • The building and rollout of IOWA’s racial justice curriculum, Dismantling Racism From The Inside Out, a program developed in partnership with Yehudah Webster and other partners.

  • Visioning for new curricula focused on climate change, restorative economy, and more.

  • Diversify our IOWA staff and bring on new team members and consultants

  • Grow our team of IOWA trained facilitators and educators

  • Expand our experienced practitioner online va’ads / study groups

  • Continue providing online and in-person va’ads / study groups

  • Creating spaces to learn, develop, and grow practice through online workshops

  • Continuing the cultivation of our Inside Out Community of Practice to meet the needs of our community.

We launched The Inside Out Wisdom and Action Project in the spring of 2019 with a vision and belief that integrating deep spiritual wisdom and practice into our justice work is necessary in order to create the change we wish to see in the world. Through IOWA Project study groups, leadership cohorts, facilitator trainings, and online workshops, we’ve created space for folks to build bridges between their spiritual lives and activist lives in order to lead from a place that is more visionary, creative, sustainable, and grounded.

We could never have foreseen how critical this work would be in the challenges we’ve faced since launching. Our work has supported leaders through the last two years of the Trump administration, countless acts of antisemitic violence globally, the continued rise of white supremacy and white nationalism, the 2020 election, the COVID-19 Pandemic, the continued racism and systemic injustices in the US, the racial justice uprising in 2020, conflict in Israel-Palestine, the crisis at the US-Mexico border, the ongoing climate crisis, and so much more.

These crises have made it more apparent than ever—spiritual wisdom and practice is essential if we're going to be in the life-long fight for justice. And with your help, we're continuing to create spaces for learning practice together in community. Thank you for your continued support.
